Canister filter issue I bought this product to sand the old roofing material off my RV before replacing the rubber top. The canister filter has an issue if you make the mistake of using a shop vac to remove the sawdust. The shop vac pulls the end of the filter right off thus making the canister ineffective. This sander works better when the user takes his/her time and doesn't try to apply large down force which will heat up the unit quickly and burn belts up even faster. Overall, it is a good little sander but not "pro grade" quality for heavy, long term use. November 12, 2012
The auto tracking is a great feature but, It is great as far as auto tracking gos but the motor needs to be made better so as to not fail after 46 hours of use the caseing just melts the motor quit and started to smoke it should be made better . When it is made better I will buy it but for now I would not buy . Skil is a good tool I have a lot of the saws that they make and all still work fine and they are over 15 years old. October 28, 2012
