Convenience, Innovation and Comfort Main Advantages of 2 New Skil Drills

November 2006 – Some applications call for more power; something extra to push through challenging jobs. SKIL Power Tools has two new corded drill/drivers that offer that have what it takes to get the job done.

The new SKIL 6267 and 6237 3/8” Corded Drill/Drivers provide comfort, convenience and power in compact packages. When DIYers need a drill to complete tough tasks like building a deck or finishing a basement, and want to ensure they always have power to finish the job, the two new SKIL Corded Drill/Drivers are there. A big advantage of a corded drill/driver is knowing the drill will have power when the user needs it.

The new SKIL 6267 Corded Drill/Driver offers a combination of innovative features and enhanced user comfort. The drill/driver is equipped with a 5.5-amp motor, which provides all the power necessary to tackle heavy-duty tasks. The two-hand comfort soft-grip and built-in work light that illuminates when the handle is grasped, this drill is sure to provide everything users need to tackle their projects.

The new SKIL 6237 Corded Drill/Driver features a 5-amp motor capable of performing a multitude of projects.  The industrial design of this tool provides superior handling in low-clearance applications due to the cord exiting at the bottom of the handle. In addition, the bit index module helps users easily determine which drill bit and/or screw is needed for a given application. This new corded drill/driver will complement any workbench.

Both drill/drivers are equipped with a bubble level for straighter drilling and driving, on-tool bit storage for added convenience and a keyless chuck for quick and easy bit changes.  The forward/reverse button offers versatility to drive and remove screws and the drills’ high torque capacity makes backing out jammed bits or removing rusted bolts quick and easy.

The new SKIL 6267 Corded Drill/Driver will come with a carrying case and retail for $39.99, while the 6237 will retail for $29.99. Both drill/drivers will be available at home improvement centers nationwide beginning May 2007.
