The Jigsaw is probably the most versatile tool in the workshop.  A jigsaw can be used to make straight cuts, curved cuts, beveled cuts, even scroll cuts.  It  can also cut all kinds of material such as wood, plastic, metal, even some leathers! Jigsaws can be less intimidating than circular saws so if you're thinking about purchasing your first power saw, a jigsaw can be a wise choice.
